Want to get CONNECTED?... Sometimes within a church, it is hard to figure out where to start. At Shepherd, we want to walk alongside all who enter our doors and take steps together through 3 environments…
The Entry…
There are a lot of entry ways into Shepherd Church. Maybe your first experience with Shepherd was through a worship service, or maybe an event like Trunk ‘r Treat, or maybe you discovered Shepherd through our Christian School, Child Care Center, or Shep Naz Basketball. Regardless, we are glad you’re here. WELCOME to Shepherd Church.
The Living Room…
In our homes we invite friends to “come on in” past the entry way and into the living room so we can get to know each other better. We sit down, maybe have a cup of coffee and talk awhile…
So often people visit churches, but never seem to get very far away from the “entry environments”—even when they genuinely want to get connected to some Christian friends. We never want that to happen, so we’ve come up with a way to get a little better acquainted. You’ll receive an invitation to a “NEXT STEP LUNCH.” It’s a no-pressure, good time of food and fellowship with some of Shepherd’s leaders.
If you feel like you’d like to know some basic beliefs of Shepherd Church and get an idea of the ministry priorities here, you’ll receive an invitation to go to the Pastor’s home for what we call, “NEED TO KNOW.” It is a time where Pastor Sam, Jill and their son, Ross, welcome smaller groups, share about basic beliefs of the church and enjoy some dessert together.
The Kitchen…
Ever notice that your best friends gather around your kitchen table? At Shepherd, we believe that consistent life transformation happens best in a small group setting. It is where we can let our guard down among friends and simply do life together.
The “kitchen experience” begins with a 2-week time together we call “WELCOME TO SHEPHERD.” From there we strive to connect you to a small group and help you plug in to an area of ministry.
