What to Expect...

If you have not been here before, we want your first experience to be easy and enjoyable. Below is a list of some of the questions we frequently answer for first time visitors. If you have a question that is not listed here, please contact us.

Are both Worship Services the same?
Yes. Both the 9:00 & 11:00 services have a variety of traditional hymns and contemporary choruses as well as a full band, praise team, choir (twice a month) and special presentations including drama, interpretive dance, signing, video, instrumental and vocal solos.

How long do your services last?
Each service lasts approximately 75 minutes. Between services, you are invited to join us at the Grace Café in the Family Life Center for coffee, juice, and a variety of breakfast snacks. The Café is open from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

What doors do I use to enter on Sunday Mornings?
The double set of glass doors at the north end of the building are closest to the sanctuary.  The picture at the top of this page shows you what the entrance looks like from the outside.

Do you have anything for children during services?
We have Children's Worship for ages 3 through 4th grade. You will check in at the Children's Welcome Center, and a volunteer will show you to your child's classroom.  Nurseries, staffed with trained, loving volunteers, are provided for infants and toddlers.

Will anyone bombard me with questions?
Our hope is that you will be greeted at the door by a friendly face and directed to the sanctuary and Children’s Worship areas.  During the service, we ask that you sign the Member/Guest Card in your bulletin with your name and address so we have record of your visit.  You can request to receive information, but we will not mail unsolicited materials to your home.  Each Sunday at the beginning of the service, we spend 2-3 minutes greeting the folks sitting near us.

Will I have to do anything strange or uncomfortable during the service?
We believe that even community worship is personal.  Sometimes this means a person will clap, raise a hand, stand up, sit down, dance, or just be still.  We whole-heartedly believe that worship is a conversation between you and God, and is as individual as we each are.

We receive the elements of communion monthly, and guests are free to participate or not. Most months, we take part in communion by intinction, which means we move to the front of the sanctuary to receive the bread and juice.

What makes the Nazarene Church different from other denominations?
The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church. Nazarenes believe that God calls Christians to a life of holy living. We believe God cleanses the heart from original sin and fills an individual with love for God and humankind.  This experience, sometimes called “sanctification” is marked by entire consecration of the believer to do God's will and is followed by a life of seeking to serve God through service to others.  Click here to learn more about what we believe.

Do you have traditional Sunday School Classes?
We offer a variety of Christian Education classes on Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. from September through May, as well as a traditional Sunday School class that meets Sunday mornings at 10:15 all year long.
