Shepherd Christian School

One of the powerful ministry arms of Shepherd Church is our school and preschool.  Shepherd Christian School and Little Lambs Children’s Center are foundations in our community.  Over the years, they have provided solid educational and spiritual foundations for children of all ages.

We believe that we offer a very balanced approach to faith and education and employ some of the finest teachers in our community.

Little Lambs Children’s Center

Little Lambs Children’s Center is pleased to announce that beginning in March, 2009 we will be receiving infants into our age group care.  Three of our classrooms are being renovated to meet state and local requirements for infant care.  We are excited to be able to offer this often requested service to our community.

Shepherd Christian School: “Did you Know…”

 …that all of our teachers have 4 year degrees or more, and are certified by the State? Just as important, all of our teachers are professing Christians and not only attend church, but most are very actively involved in their home churches.

….that our students consistently score above average on all of the standardized testing?  Many parents have told us that their children are excelling in middle and high school because of the education they received here.

….that in each group of new families received into membership at Shepherd Church over the last three years, at least one family (and often more than one) started coming to Shepherd Church as a result of having children in our school?

…that last year alone, 24 students made open professions that they had accepted Christ? 

…that our students memorize verses and entire passages of Scripture?  Our first grade students recited the Christmas story, Luke 2:1-18, from memory during our Chapel service in front of the entire school.  They are truly “hiding” God’s Word in their hearts.

…that we start each day with The Lord’s Prayer as part of our announcements?  Each classroom has a time of prayer where students ask for prayer for specific requests, and in many of the classes, students lead the prayer time. 

…that Shepherd Christian School has a very diverse culture?  Our students are not only from Gahanna, but also Westerville, Reynoldsburg, and many other of our neighboring cities. They are also from the uttermost parts of the world (India, Ethiopia, South America, etc.).  The harvest fields are ripe and God has brought them to Shepherd Christian School.
