"Welcome to Shepherd"

Did you know that every week at Shepherd Church many people visit and experience all of the new things that are taking place here?

What happens to all those folks? Well, we pray that they feel welcome here and that they experience God’s love, but often they leave no record of their time with us. We understand that often people need to visit a church without being identified as a visitor and that is certainly okay with us.  But sometimes, people are really searching for a place to worship and grow.

In light of this, we will begin a new series of classes designed to help folks connect with others and learn about the Christian Life.  These classes will be open to all, but will specifically be created to answer the questions and meet the needs of folks who are new to Shepherd Church.

The classes will meet on Sundays from 11:05 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. and last for 6 weeks.  Using the scriptures, the classes will walk folks through such topics as: What is Salvation?, How do I read the Bible?, What is my role in the church?, What is Holiness?, What is Baptism?, What is the Lord’s Supper?, What do Nazarene’s Believe?, How do I Learn to Pray?, What is Christian Stewardship?

We are also excited to announce that the room directly behind the sanctuary will be transformed into a “Welcome Center” during our worship service times. It will be a place where new folks can meet the Pastor and Pastoral Staff, receive information about the church, and get a small gift - beginning Spring of 2009.
